Lombardia Trophy - Men's SP & FS

Feeling a bit meh about the 2nd half of Ilia's SP, but it'll probably grow on me like last year's did.
I agree, however the ending pose is really spectacular and dynamic.

His jumps are just like butter and the first half of the program showcases his artistic development & growing attention to the music. The way he rocks from blade to blade with the beat of the music into his second jumping pass was really nice.

The superhero airburshed abs have GOT to go. I think the program has potential but needs about 30% less random arm movements.
That's exactly what it looked like! I couldn't quite put my finger on what was bothering me about the shirt but that's it! The whole costume needs a complete re-think. It doesn't scream da Vinci in any way.

I’ve finally had a chance to watch Ilia, I love this program. The end got a bit frantic since he threw a backflip in, hopefully they rethink that. Can’t wait to see the costume.

Watched Kao and the speed/intensity is great. He’s improved the spins, now secure the jumps. I really want the three Japanese men here to be the three in Milan and Kao is the one I worry for the most. Hope he is healed and just working out the rust.

Haven’t had a chance to see anyone else but sounds like typical early season messiness.

There seemed to be a lot of typical early season messiness flying all over the rink.

Adam’s costume would be better if they went either straight-up Vitruvian Man or all in a single color, cuz the reddish shorts look dumb when he’s at speed. I hope to see this program fully developed.

Yuma experienced a leg cramp and had some interruptions during his SP skate, but he persevered and successfully landed a 3A and was able to finish the program.

My friend at the venue said that Ilia stayed near the board while Kao was skating, banging the wall and cheering him on.

In an interview, Kao said that Ilia gave him some brief advice before the six-minute warm-up for SP: "Don't rush. Take your time."

Kao says that he tends to rush, not necessarily mentally but physically, when it comes to performing in the competition. Keeping Ilia's words in mind, he managed to control himself and make sure he didn't rush his performance and skate like he had been practicing. As a result, he achieved good outcomes and is very happy about it. Kao thinks Ilia perhaps sees his tendency to rush and thus gave hims the advice, to which he was very thankful.

Holy moly, I just actually watched the short program of Ilia as it finally made its way to YouTube

Wow, that is the most choreography I’ve ever seen him do …. that is fantastic, and what an ending pose.

Does OG stand for like “I’m the OG” or does it stand for Olympic gold?
