Seoyoung Kim - silver/grey dress - high neck with a keyhole in the midriff, lots of sparkles because... Korean women. Landed on the back of her blade and stumbled out of her opening jump, excellent 2a, very powerful music. I don't recall seeing her before. She manages a 3+2 for her combo; seems pretty standard issue Korean woman; though her Ina Bauer was kind of half-assed and weak. I expect better from Korean women, lol. She finishes a tad behind the music as she works hard to get her levels on the closing spin.

Kristen Spours - black dress with a deep v-neck & illusion and a black choker. I missed her first jump - but I think she had a stumble. I know the song but the title isn't coming to mind - bluesy. She expresses it well and it's a nice program but it just sort of peters out at the end. When will these music editors and choreographers learn to do better?

Anastasia Gozhva - black dress with some really fancy gold filigree detailing around the bust and upper back, gold vertical lines down the rest of the bodice sort of simulating a corset. Spanish music. And she falls on her opening triple. And down on her second triple, so no combo. Ouch. And this is one ugly donut spin position she tries to pretzel herself into - she doesn't have the flexibility for what she tried to do. Hey, solid 2a, so there's that. Oh, this sit spin was much nicer.

Oona Ounasvuori - hey, another black dress. How original! "Like a River" - sexier already than PerMich's SP last season with just her opening choreo and 2a. Oooof - 2-fted and probably < or << on the 2nd triple in her combo; she also 2-fted her solo triple. I didn't realize this song has an electronica/dance version - Ounasvuori doesn't really use that version as effectively.

Lara Naki Gutmann - lol - another black dress! This time it has a bunch of magenta detailing on it - choker neckline and the underskirt, as well as the waistband and a strange geometric pattern on the front. Steps out of her opening triple - what is this music? Too lazy to go check her ISU bio to see if it's been updated. Oh, I went and looked - "Squid Game" - not something I've seen and this music doesn't make me want to see it, folks. I may be showing my age, but I also like "Outer Banks" so I'm not entirely old and stodgy yet, lol. Anyhow... Her usual inconsistent jumping.

Eliska Brezinova - hey, gosh, a black dress. Who woulda thunk? This one has cross-hatches on the front of the bodice, open shoulders, some side cutouts and lots of silver stoning/crystals. Madonna. Okay then. Wow. Solid triple-double! And then she loses the edge on her solo 3 and it winds up being a double??? I'm not sure how the tech panel will call that. She's really struggled in the last couple seasons since she had that injury.

Kaori - red dress with a LOT of stoning & crystals on it - opera-length gloves to match. 2A like butt-ah may make me forgive her hair coloring tragedy. My goodness - this camel spin - she's such a class above the skaters who've gone before her it's not even funny. This SP is a million times better than the dreck she's had the past two seasons, also. OH. MY. GOD. LOVE IT!!!! That's... Good luck rest of the world beating her.

That's a really good tango program for Kaori. Suits her power skating much better than last year's tinkly piano short.

I am a bit disappointed by Kaori. I did not like the hair/dress/program…

I'm disappointed. The speed and power were there, the great jumps, but there was no TANGO.
Aldo, not sure how i feel about blondish-Kaori.

Yuge Kaori fan here and I agree. I hate tangos, though, even Kaori can't redeem them. And the hair is a mistake.
