I am not sure where to post this, but do any of you have sightseeing suggestions/other recommendations for Lithuania? I will be flying to Vilnius and then get a train to Kaunas for Europeans.
Have any of you recommendations about what to see in Vilnius for a day? Restaurants? And in Kaunas? Thank you so much.

Kaunas has the world's largest devil doll collection (https://www.atlasobscura.com/places/devils-museum) and both local art museums are also top notch if you are into Symbolism (Ciurlionis is Lithuania's Klimt) and expressionists (early 20th Cent). For food, Medziotoju Uzeiga is a traditional restaurant on the main street and has the best game (e.g. venison, elk) with berries and lots of mushroom dishes. Also, atrain from Vilnius is very fast and convenient. Enjoy y'all, I wish I were there:)!

For Vilnius, there are so many new interesting restaurants since I last visited years ago. If I were going, I'd try this: looks both like a gourmet and cultural experience. https://ertlionamas.lt/en. For things to do: I just like walking about, it's a lovely baroque town and if you catch an organ concert at one of the elaborate baroque churches, you may just fall in love with the place, like I did.

Barbk-daughter works for a company headquartered in Vilnius, and she loved walking around the city when she visited last summer. She skipped the Christmas celebration visit since she had just bought a new house, but her colleagues said Vilnius was glorious during the Christmas season.
