On the English livestream, host Ted Barton (in his Vancouver studio) is commentating with Kevin Reynolds ("in his new home" of Auckland, New Zealand where it's 4:26 am!)

I'm working in the office today, so I'll have to rely on comments from the rest of you!

I must have missed the news that Kevin moved to New Zealand. Did he say if he's doing something skating-related there?

LOL Ted asked Kevin if he ever won the Junior title and he self-deprecatingly replied that his best finish was silver ("you may have of heard of Patrick Chan..."). :D

I've heard that it is skating-related, yes.

I'm only partly watching (mostly listening) for now - will try to post some comments starting with Heiderich at the end of group 2.
Same. My grocery order just arrived & I've got something else on the TV right now, but I've been mostly listening to the men in the first group.

James Cha is attempting angst to Lachrymosa, landing stuff but a little crazily. Hair is a bit tragic.

Hi everyone
I decided to check in on the juniors this week. I don't usually tune in until Sr. competition at Cdn. Nats but, with things not exactly stellar in senior men's singles at the moment, you never know .... might discover a hidden upcoming gem in the Juniors. Good luck to everyone.

Etienne Lacasse had such a nice smile going in the middle of that program - seemed genuinely happy at that point. Unfortunately that smile faded.

Louie Fukuda-Wu was good! Should lead.

ETA: Into 2nd, must have been some deductions I didn't catch.
The scores are very close 52.69 to 52.60.

I have "sort of" been watching but my tub to shower conversion was being completed and I had to be somewhat involved, including providing the credit card when it was done :D

Same boat here. I'm watching now but the appliance repair guy is due any minute to repair my dishwasher. He will also want some imput from me as to the problem .... and most definitely my credit/debit card at the completion of his work.

Skating can be SUCH a distraction. I was trying to watch while checking my text messages to see if the appliance repair man is on his way and somehow accidentally deleted voicemail entirely from my phone!! So, more fiddling around was required to get it back. Geez .....

What was that with Parker after the flip - some sort of weird stopped working his program for a few seconds before resetting himself.
Some quality skating but I can't say I like the music - seems not really to be music somehow?? I actually enjoyed his skating more on the replays without music.
