In the best shape of their lives: The 2025 MLB thread

So happy that my Reds won today because it meant that they hit 50 wins for the year before the All Star break and Tito Francona got his 2000th career win too! :cheer: :cheer: :cheer:

I thought the Orioles might have turned a corner with their sweep of the doubleheader against the Mets on Thursday. Nope. :(

I'm not looking forward to the inevitable trades that will be made over the next few weeks. Goodbye, Mullins. :(

What if we saw it like this?

Goodbye, Mullins. :(
Yep. I knew it was coming, but still... :wuzrobbed

And O'Hearn, Laureano, Urias.

I was at the game (vs Blue Jays) Tuesday night (where it was 100 degrees at game time). At least the Orioles won, but i knew it would be my last time seeing some of my favorites.

Dominguez pitching for the Orioles in the afternoon game and then pitching for the Blue Jay's in the evening game was bizarre. :(

I’m sorry @Debbie S.

I feel like the Yankees remade their team, filling a lot of the holes. I am definitely feeling a lot better about them now. Hopefully this gets them back on track.

Glad that the bottom part of the order and the unknown name pitcher won it for my Phillies today! Good to see them all on board for the win today, instead of just the big names!

My Phillies could populate a town with the number of runners they leave on base every game. Sigh.

And as we’re struggling to put together wins, our ace pitcher goes on the IL. No projected return. Sigh
It's hard for me to work up much sympathy for any other team's pitching woes after everything the Braves have been through this season...

It seems like there are so many more pitching injuries and TJ surgeries now than when I first started watching in the 1990s.

The Brewers winning streak is FINALLY over and after two failed attempts at winning games earlier this weekend (both games were winnable IMO), my Reds are the ones who finally won to break it and they did it on a walk off win too. Thank goodness! :cheer: :yikes:

And somehow, my Reds are still the only team in MLB to not be swept this year. No idea how they're doing it but it's making things fun for me, LOL :rollin:

No matter how bad the Mets have been doing, they do appear to be my Phillies' kryptonite, at least at Citifield. Sanchez had his worst outing of the year, and he's supposed to be our ace pitcher now that Wheeler is out for the season. Hopefully we can still salvage the series.

Still in disbelief that my Phils took 2 of 3 from the Brewers! Let's hope they can redeem themselves against the Mets once they finish the series with the Marlins!

That Orioles comeback win tonight, after being no hit for nearly the entire game, was something else and I love that they did that on the anniversary of Cal's streak! :cheer:

Brewers officially the first team with a playoff berth, and my Phillies' magic number is 1 for their second NL East championship in a row! Let's win it today fellas!

It’s a good thing my Phillies already made the playoffs because they are slumping bad right now.

Well, after sweeping the Cubs this weekend (and I was there yesterday and today to see those games in person :cheer2: ), my Reds are now in control of their own destiny by finally catching the Mets for that third wild card spot (they own the tiebreaker over not only the Mets but also over the Diamondbacks and the Giants who are also still in the hunt). This is crazy y'all....we were almost totally out of this whole thing a few weeks ago. EEEEK!!!!:watch::rollin::cheer:

My Reds are still in the hunt and playing meaningful baseball in late September.....even if they don't make it in this year, they've given us something to cheer about here in Cincy and I'm super proud of them. :cheer:

And if you haven't seen the highlight of Noelvi Marte's outfield catch that robbed a (for sure) HR in the ninth inning of the Reds-Pirates game today, go to You Tube and search for it ASAP. Absolutely incredible and he just learned to play right field THIS YEAR! :cheer2:
