The final episode of IceTalk with Nick McCarvel and Jackie Wong will apparently be posted soon. It will be a shame if they don't continue working together or separately in some capacity to provide fans with more choices and more voices for figure skating coverage. Right now, I'm not convinced we will get the focused and more in-depth figure skating news and interviews we got on IN when NBC takes over the bulk of IN's former function in July.

Maybe the interview archive will be left up, or perhaps be ported over to U.S. figure skating's fanzone?

Episode 65.5 is a keeper: the 10 minute excerpt of Jackie Wong and Brook Castile reflecting on Savchenko/Massot's transcendent fp at the Olympics. :swoon:

I’ve listened to some of their podcasts. I liked what they provided (specifically Nick) it took what others like TSL threw away and they ran with it. Have they clarified the reason why the podcast is ending?

Hmm..any more information on that?

ETA - oh i should read my email...

Ep. 72: A Farewell to Icenetwork
Nick McCarvel is joined by fellow Ice Talk co-host Jackie Wong, icenetwork journalist Lynn Rutherford, icenetwork producer Mickey Brown and Ice Talk editor Kate Sullivan as they look back on the 11-year run of icenetwork. The five of them talk about the early days of the website, discuss what made the site such a valuable resource for figure skating fans and share lots of behind-the-scenes stories from their time working for icenetwork.

For some discussion about the fate of the podcast and other IN content, see this thread:
