Say, I was wondering about this. How do you cover the ice when Ice-Dancing? Because when I Ice-Dance, I don't really go anywhere. I just stay in one place. How would you move around? Are you supposed to glide,do a small walk, or what is actually the correct way? Does anyone know the answer? Thanks.

Covering the ice happens by gliding.

Work on your gliding skills. Keep working with your coach. Bend your knees.

Ice dancing is no different than any other kind of skating in how you move. It's all about stroking. Push, and then glide. Push, and then glide.

Learning how to do basic stroking, and learning to do it well, is something that every skater learns. No matter what kind of skating they end up doing.
