Back in 2002 there was a documentary about the history of american ladies at the olympics! I believe it was on E! and talked about all of the great american ladies skaters. I particularly remember Rosalynn Sumners talking about how she knew she would not win before skating and it was just not her night. I know I have seen it on youtube in the past but cannot find it. Does anyone know the name or where I can find it?

I have a few boxes of skating videos I recorded back in the day. I’ll have to see if I have that. I know I transferred many to DVD.

Its called something like "The History of Ladies Figure Skating" or maybe "A History of Ladies Figure Skating". Something very similar to this. I think it was on A&E channel though? I know the exact show you are talking about. I had it on tape. Had. :wuzrobbed It sort of took you thru the eras of Ladies skating and yes, it was US Ladies focused. Each "era" segment was about 20 minutes long. I remember the Roz segment you are talking about. She was practically in tears talking about how she had a perfect skate in practice and knew she wouldn't be able to do that again and she knew she wouldn't win. But I don't know where you can find it online. Maybe try searching A&E documentaries as I am like 85% sure it was on A&E channel.

Yes, it was A&E! Thank you, this helps!

Fire on Ice: A History of Ladies Figure Skating! Yeah, I agree with that. I knew it was called "Some Words Were Here: A History of Ladies Figure Skating" and I couldn't remember what the "Some Words Were Here:" part of it was. LOL! I remember trying to cram that all on the VHS tape label and getting mad I messed up the label. It's weird the little insignificant stuff in your life you remember doing like it was yesterday.

I downloaded it years ago. I could upload it in my free time for you, though I don't know what the quality is like. I haven't watched it in a long time. I think the video maker had uploaded it in several pieces. Let me know if I should upload it for you.

Just checked it for you, I have it in 10 different parts and also one file where the documentary isn't split. If I remember correctly, I think both versions had differences at the ending, but I'm not sure. It's no problem for me to upload the 10 parts + the entire documentary, just to be sure. I'm off to work now, it's around seven in the morning here.

I would so appreciate if you uploaded it! Thank you

Sure, no problem at all :) I just checked, there is no difference between both the one complete file, and the version split in 10 files. I used to have an older version which didn't cover the 1998 Olympics. I must have replaced that with the complete version.

The quality isn't superb, but their all watchable.

Here is the link of the file which isn't split:
Fire on Ice (I probably downloaded this one from YouTube)

This is a link to the folder, where you can download this in 10 parts:

Some of these files are quite old. I also see wmv extensions. If you're having any trouble viewing these files, I recommend using VLC Media Player. Let me know if any download link doesn't work. Have fun watching!

Now that I know the title, I’ll have to check my collection again, so I can watch it. The last time I checked, I found a DVD of the 2010 Boston Open, and ended up watching it. EEK. My skills have deteriorated quite a bit, and they weren’t great to begin with!

Thank you so much! Exactly how I remember it!
