Glenn is facing more attention than usual while competing in Grenoble, France. Not only is she skating at her first Grand Prix Final, but she is also the only one one who can stop a Japanese podium sweep inthe women's singles event. The USA athlete is the only non-Japanese woman out of the six qualifiers.

Madi switched out the all-copper gloves from the GP for new ones that look more art deco-y geometric with the faux-oxidized copper crystals/stoning used on the rest of her dress. Every tiny step is an improvement, though I still hate the high point on the bodice that looks like it's choking her.

Sanchez' music, he is skating through the programme with no jumps (and no costume. He and Vaclavik are without the costumes, the rest are sparkling).
I still hate the music and still think Tarasova/Morozov should be executed for introducing it, but Sanchez all around is quite good. Oh 3lz3t from him, the 3t underotated, perhaps 2f.

Kim's programme is a SFAW. She is the slowest across the ice here. 3loop2t. Ok, sorry , but Kim is unwachable. It's SO boring!The choreo sequence includes an ina bauer with no back bend and a spread eagle with a butt out. No, seriously, with the Japanese here it's.... can I have another Japanese lady?

Wang's music. Again a SFAW. But her jumps are gorgeous. One could mistake her for a Japanese lady.

Wang's programme lasted forver and her 3z2a2a was in the 2nd part and she lands it at 9am. Insane

Nakai's music. 3A, opens mid air, lands on 2 feet. 3loop. She is so soft and lovely across the ice. There is another Japanese lady who I seem to like more (assume it's Shimada, but not yet sure). Nakai 3/euler3s. Will assume the lady who I liked is Shimada, she just fell into the border from a jump.
Nakai 2a. Her 2a is wild. Gladki 2footed something. Nakai 3z3t lovely. 3loop2a.
Gladki's 4t is really badly ur and 2footed. Gladki another 4t attempt - fall. Gladki is seriously trying to commit a suicide.

Wada's music. Ok, the Japanese lady I luuurved is indeed Shimada. Am not sure I liked the music, but wow.
Think her flip is like the russian ladies - free leg is being bent before the take off, quite annoying look. Think I saw Scherblakova doing just that

Shimada's music, right, so she is the one I luuurved. 3A. Clean and easy. 1z popped. Shimada popped a salchow towards the end of the programme, the rest was lovely and clean.
BTW, those who sit on the short side in front of the K&C you are lukcy - Wada will spend 90% of the programme in front of you (@Hanna).

Dear do the short dances this year are idiotic... Especially at 9am.

There are some little kids sitting on the top of the rink screaming murder. AT 9 AM!!!!


I realize what I lack in the italians - when Hubbell/Donohue were on the ice no matter who else was on the rink you couldn't take your eyes off them (not even mentioning Papadakis/Cizeron, one would need 2 sets of eyes), The Italians - I realize they are there, but...

KamOShea are doing the basic steps most of the time, and if I were them it's exactly what I wouldn't do. Hers are terrible.

Metelkina/Berulava. Apparently the programme is about her being death, him being an old man and his whole life is going in front him from the back to the childhood, showing the grandchildren, then, children, wedding and then in the end Metelkina is killing him.
Dear god, I need to smoke more to gaspt it.

Miura/Kihara's music.
We got the first split twist and then she fell on a 3T, he almost stumbled on her while she was on the ice.
Split twist is nice.
All of a sudden Metelkina/Berulava/Hase/Volodin did split twists (not all 4 together)
The previous group didn't do a single split twist at all.
