Gold on Gold: Lajoie & Lagha Cheer thread!

I wonder what's the connection between the change and their 'feeling alone' comment. Re: Programs, wasn't their last Marie-France program Bohemian Rhapsody? It was not exactly a good program for them lol (and they admitted they hated watching themselves skating to it), but it was also 6 years ago, and in a way it helped them (especially Zach) project more.
Six years is a long time, I'm optimistic about it given the circumstances next season; being Canada #1 will give them a boost, and MF/Patrice will need a new flagship team to focus on after C/B's retirement. I think what they've needed is a new choreographic voice and MF can fulfill that role without them having to switch camps.

I was checking out wiki and all their programs throughout their career seem to be Romain programs.

Pure speculation on my part but I suspect conversations were had during or following SC high performance camp.
My gut is that when the original FD music was too $$$ and scrapped and they moved to Bach that Romain was just too busy with his other teams and these two were stranded on an island all alone. I suspect this is when MF and Patrice stepped in and took over and at that point the best option was to dust off White Crow. THat there just wasn't time to create a brand new FD. And no time to change the RD for certain.

When you look at the ISU bios for IAM teams to me it appears there are three tiers. The top tier of teams only list three coaches: Romain, MF or Patrice. In that top tier that all seem to have Romain as their #1 and all their programs choreographed by Romain are FB/C, F/G, SD, L/B. And closely following them but not with Romain as their main are R/A and C/B.
I think that’s likely what happened as well, that the formation of FB/C complicated things internally (all just speculation of course). TBH, I always found it a bit surprising that Romain was their main coach. To me it always made more sense for them to be under MF and Patrice, especially since it was MF who convinced them to get back together after their split post novice.

Re that top tier, I’m fairly sure FB/C’s free dance was choreographed by MF and Lambiel. Pretty sure there's some article about that, but it all would be so much easier if more teams just specified in their bios who choreographed what program.

Does anyone have or know where I can find a copy of their individual event FD with Belinda’s commentary? I can trade you the NBC version that has different camera angles than the world feed lol

They got a shoutout from the composer of the score of The White Crow!

And another interview bit, along with English translation.

Amused that they have completely different memories of how long they were split. IIRC at the time didn't Marjorie move to train with Marina? Or was it Igor?
It was with Igor. Marjo had a try out with Anton Spiridonov (who's now skating with Vanessa Pham). They were supposed to do Quebec Summer Championships that season (2015/2016) but withdrew. Given the time CQE was usually on, I'd say Zach's timeline is probably more accurate? And given that LaLa only had a tiny window to prepare before JGP started.

Gotcha. There's that mini-doc on them where it was implied that her stint in Michigan wasn't exactly the best experience, but for some reason I had always assumed it was Marina - probably because Zach mentioned they had trained a bit at her camp too at one point. The fact that Anton is now at IAM is almost too neatly ironic. The ice dance world is sooo small.
