Great senior debut by Roscher/Schuster in Warsaw :encore:
As mentioned in pbp, I am getting some early-Hase-Seegert-vibes of them.
She grew a lot but seems finally get it together a bit better 💪
54.78pts, 31pts TES, Euros minimums ✅

I really wonder, what will happen if Efimova is released. (E/B are entered for nationals, so 🤷‍♂️)

Good outings by all 3 german ladies - nice to see them all somehow get their act to getter more or less.

Schott on good way. 4th place in that field - and more important: 109pts FS missing for NOC standards that sounds promising! 🤞

SP-wise Schott beats Fentz in Warsaw in TES and overall 😁

Fentz' 3A was a beauty, have the impression he's coming back, slowly
Saw that he landed a Quad Toe in Warm Up, also a beautyful one.
Please correct me if i was wrong. It was in the left corner little bit far away.
🙏 that we finally see Efimova/Blommaert!! :D
I prayed for this too but I'm not shure this will be gonna happen.:slinkaway
There is something about her *****vaccination. She missed it so far.

Congrats to Roscher/Schuster having earned Euros minimums ✅
I really like their overall progress - still a bit unsure with her solo jumps and the 2nd throw, but I am pleased no one is rushing things here.
Lifts look solid, Schuster is a mini-hulk! 💪

As mentioned before, it would be a great experience for them, but their entire team has to set them up the right way entering a senior champs, so they can profit from the entire experience more than maybe being disapppointed.

NOC standards achieved:
Schott: ✅
Hase/Seegert: ✅
Hocke/Kunkel: 1/2
Müller/Dieck: ✅
Janse van Rensburg/Steffan: 1/2

Isaev's CS POL score most likely won't count (not that it does matter towards sub status), because she already had 3 CS assigne and got POL as sub for Suleymanova.
---
In the end only 3 skaters/teams got the NOC standards, so obviously the right ones will be chosen for Beijing.
Fentz might get a nice farewell for his long career there.

yes, it would be nice to see Paul Fentz having a nice farewell in Beijing.
He did squeak into the final 24 in Pyeongchang I recall. So he's been an Olympic finalist before already. It's already a big accomplishment

Final entries published for Nationals:

No Efimova/Blommaert :(
No Dastich. No Hus.
Do we expect Dastich ever coming back? Such a long route for her :(
As someone has mentioned before Efimova is not vaccinated, so at this moment not allowed to compete in most (probably all) parts of Germany. Interesting though that she is allowed to practice though. The same rules apply to practice rinks at least in Bavaria and Berlin, where she is training.

Thanks, never heard of that before. Makes sense.

Until yesterday Efimova could train in Berlin, negative test was enough. Now you need an exemption, if you neither vaccinated or recovered from YKW

Indoor sports isn't allowed for unvaccinated adults for at least a week now in Berlin , Bavaria probably a week earlier. Even a negative test does not help you to get in. The rules are pretty clear. New rules from today on only enforce you to wear a mask additionally or to keep more distance.

Does anybody (with a realistic chance) still need the minimum score required by DOSB?
I see they have a British technical specialist and 1 Dutch and 1 Italian judge currently listed in next week's Single and Pair panels. And 1 Dutch specialist and Slovakian, Finnish, Italian judges for Dance.
But I don't remember how many international judges were needed to make Nationals scores count for DOSB.

I also notice that they put Caruso in the Dance panels....

No surprise here. This is Doucheland after all where they still allow Fajfr to coach young girls and boys and where the federation has always supported abusers and predators (e.g. Dönsdorf).

Hocke/Kunkel and Janse van Rensburg/Steffan have only 50% met the criteria for now.
But let's face it, both teams have no realistic chance making it.

In the end, 3 skaters/teams only met the criteria - one in each discipline. They deserved their ticket.

True. So, what do you expect to happen for the Men and the Team Event? Winner/highest-ranked man with a German passport submitted to the German NOC for consideration?

There should be no other option than Fentz unless another dude (with passport) wins nationals in stellar manner.

Thanks.

It seems indeed a foregone conclusion without any drama left for Nationals.

No other women is at Schott's level.
At the beginning of the season, I had hopes for a competitive fight in pairs. But clearly H/K had a rough season.
As for Dance, I always got the impression that JvR/S could beat Muller/Dieck on occasions but over a long period, M/D would prevail in the majority of times.

"Cleared of charges" doesn't mean "innocent", which he clearly is not. He just was backed by the entire federation, same with Fajfr after the latest allegations. That's it.
That’s absolutely right but I must have missed the memo on all of the evidence of him not being innocent. Is there a thread on that? Fajfr absolutely should have been removed ages ago and the evidence available publicly was pretty clear. I just haven’t seen (or missed) similar evidence on Dönsdorf.
