Ok guys. Just wanted to give ya all an update on my training with coach Nick and were we stand...Anyway Nick and I were talking, and we decided that even though I have a Program for a Show now, that it would be better for me to wait to be in the next Show at my Rink, which more than likely will be in December of this year. As he feels that it will give me time to practice my Program on ice, just to make sure I CAN do it on ice. I also did have a little trouble getting into this years Spring Show anyway. I'll keep you all updated on my training as things come up....Btw. this question just came to me... The music and song I will be skating to when I'm ready is part of a soundtrack that I have heard would cost an arm and a leg to order online. So I was wondering how coaches get music or songs for skaters that would cost that much for themselves to obtain. Does anyone know? Thanks.

You don't have to buy an actual record or CD. You can buy the digital track for just the song you want on something like iTunes. That usually costs $1.29 per song. Sometimes the only way to get a song is to buy the entire digital album, which costs about $15 or less.

Wouldn't I need a CD. for Nick to put in the Rink's CD. Player? Isn't that how Rink's play music for Skaters?

Some rinks use CDs and some just use digital tracks now. At my rink we can still play CDs, but most skaters play their music from their phones. When I cut music for my skaters, I email the track to them as well as make an actual CD. If you need a CD of your music to play at the rink, you will get that from your coach.
