Hey everyone!!! I want to say today that my Coach Nick taught me a little bit about Ice-Dancing!!! He didn't show me a lot of moves. But he basically showed me some movements with my arms and feet that you might see in Ice-Dance. He is also working with me to put some kind of small program together with everything that I've been learning for a possible show in the future. So I can only say that when (and if) I'm in a show, I will post about it here. I also learned from a fellow Skater today who is testing, that judges score you differently at different ages. Depending on if your a kid or a young or older adult. Can anyone explain a bit about how that works so I can understand more? Thanks.

Sure, I’ll try. I test my ice dances on the Adult 50+ standard. Because I’m older, I’m not expected to be able to skate as strongly as a teenager or even a younger adult. My skating will be slower and my pattern smaller in comparison to them. The judges take my age into account, though, so if I can do the steps correctly and with the right timing I will still be able to pass my test.

So there's basically a different set of Score -Tables for each age level. Right? Btw. How would they score you if your body is showing that it's a lot healthier and can do more for someone your age? Like let's say you're 60 or 70, but your body is still as active as when you were let's say...30, would that give you an advantage for a better score, then if your body was tiered out?
