I checked here and PI and found nothing, but mods feel free to merge or delete if I've missed it.

I'm getting reports that there was an explosion on an underground train in London this morning around 8.20am.

BBC news link here: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-41278545

Currently being treated as a terrorism incident. Injuries reported but no fatalities reported. Scary stuff.

The fifth terrorist attack in Lomdon just this year!:( Thoughts and prayers to the victims and the city of London.

Just a little point - it is the 4th one in London this year - the 5th one in the UK - the Manchester bombing. Sorry to be picky but it is a niggle for me when people refer to the UK as London!!

It sounds as if this was a very amateurish attack and I wonder if it went off when it should have? So far most injuries are non fatal so hopefully no loss of life will occur. I have just listened to some of the reports and people report the crowd surging and many falling and being trampled by the crowds and rush. That happened to me outside the WTC on 9/11after I had evacuated out of my office in 5 WTC - it is a natural reaction to run from an attack and I got knocked over when the 2nd plane hit and we saw and heard a huge explosion. I found I had footprints on me when I checked myself out later as well as broken bones in my foot - which I didn't realise until a few days later. I suspect many people will have these sort of injuries that will go unreported.

I guess it depends on which incidents people are counting - did the stabbing outside Buckingham palace get classed as a terrorist attack?

None of the injuries is considered life-threatening, but my cabbie told me that he had heard that nineteen people had to go to the hospital. One branch of the District Line was shut, and there were security announcements at St. Pancras, but, otherwise, I didn't notice anything unusual today.
