A lot of the big names are hitting La Vuelta that starts Saturday. I guess many feel they are in peak fitness.
I read a quote somewhere that described the Vuelta as the Grand Tour's crazy cousin. Maybe it's because so many people see this as a way of redeeming an otherwise disappointing season or to get their first chance at a Grand Tour. Plus there are usually crosswinds that throw everything into chaos. I only wish it got better tv coverage.

The Vuelta is not so secretly my favourite Grand Tour. But I'm having trouble getting into it this year. I don't know, after the Tour and the Olympics maybe I need a break from watching sport to recuperate before the skating season really starts up.

Thrilled for Jacobsen, but I’m not a fan of the sprint stages. I wanna see ‘em grunting up a mountain.

Oh my god, I'm behind a few days and just saw the Valverde crash. That was seriously terrifying. The few minutes between when we saw him crash and when he climbed up were terrifying. It looked like he might have gone over the edge completely.

Well, it took 2 full weeks, but Roglic is back on top. Kuss was 2nd today, but only gained one spot in GC. Another tough day on tap tomorrow.
