I wish I could have more than a feeling about Jin's FP.

I'd EASILY give this battle to Daiwei Dai. The PCS deserves to be very low. The steps look like a struggle. The choreo sequence is a bunch of nothing. The completed jumps landed with a thud and no run-out aside from one of them.

This choreography is pathetic. I'm sorry. It is. There's nothing going on that a very average, even adult skater couldn't do for the most part and he doesn't even bother giving anything more to it. So many three-turns, so many crossovers.

I wonder if it's actually Boyang's fault. Maybe he just likes this sort of music and doesn't care if it's a good choice for scoring well.

I thought Daiwei's PCS was fine. He's introspective and not very flashy.

Boyang deserves an average of like 60 points (6.00). Not even joking.

Seriously, Mark, Orser & Co have been working with Boyang for years now. If they haven't succeeded yet in improving his PCS, chances are they won't now.

I also find it hard to believe that with all the layers of experience and reasonable taste the cricket club has shown over the years that any of them thought that music for Jin was a good idea. Something doesn’t add up.

I know it lists Wilson for the LP but it just has Russell's name written all over it based on the last few seasons of what we've seen from him.

That's why I wondered if maybe Jin insisted on the music. And then dumbed down the choreography so he could land the jumps.

Quad loop for Matteo was definitely <, massive loss of points incoming.

Said it at his first event, but Matteo has this formula for the free skates that never gets me invested. It's all very element to element to element and sloppy as he goes.

He's had some very nice short programs in his career, but this best of and rearranging of past programs he's shown this year don't do much of anything for me.

As much as I hate Fix You, I’m happy to see former-Baby Rizzo back mostly healthy. I’d rather watch Matteo than Daniel.

Hold off, now. This program was magical at Euros last year. When it's skated like that - it's fantastic. Leave Mark & Matteo alone this season while Matteo is coming back from his surgery.
