Somewhat OT, but part of the issue is the difference between "sex" and "gender," and a lack of understanding about the difference between the two.

You're probably right, but even so, there's no intersex option.

They'd have to have some explanation there, because I think the majority of people still use those two terms interchangeably and would wonder why they were being asked the same question twice.

The people who need the second question would understand it and the rest could just answer "the same question" twice.

Actually, most questionnaires will ask certain questions in more than one way as a control measure.

Or they could just ask, are you transgender? That's probably easier....lol!
