Yes, it happens every year. Maybe not as big as that one. But it's a tourist attraction. Lots of people travel to that area just to watch the icebergs go by. I think there are boat tours you can take to get closer to them.

It is somewhat unusual to have icebergs this late in the season, but icebergs themselves are around every year in Newfoundland. My step-FIL lives in an area that tends to have a lot of icebergs and gathers the “bergy bits” for drinks
