I agree! It was such a confident, commanding, and sexy performance. He deserved 4th place overall.Dude it was like someone unleashed the beast in him. It wasn't even that it was a clean skate - he skated like he always knew that was gonna happen and even suggesting otherwise would have been ludicrous. and the way he supported vincent in the kiss and cry. such a stud![]()
Anyone know where we can see Camden at Worlds? Not on YouTube.
Yes! It was the first time in years that he's done well in both the SP & FS, and his spins were improved too. How exciting that Camden got a small medal.
Camden has a post world reflection Posted on his twitter
"I think it's great," Pulkinen said of his teammate's [Malinin] exploits. "If you can do it, then do it. Ilia's showing us that it's possible to do the quad Axel. I think we'll see more of that. It takes that one person to do it, to show everyone it's possible. It does put pressure on me, but there's always pressure with competition. Sports are about pressure."
This fall, Pulkinen will begin studies at Columbia University. During the fall semester, he'll take humanities classes to meet requirements. He plans to take more finance and economics courses in spring 2023.
"I'll be living on campus. I just got approved for housing," Pulkinen said. "And I'll be training at Chelsea Piers [a rink in southern Manhattan]. Tentatively, I'll train in the morning and have classes in the afternoon." He expects to commute via subway between Columbia and Chelsea Piers.
"I'm really excited to have him [Alex Johnson] as a voice in my career. He went through the same process of committing to full-time college and competing internationally. So I think his expertise can help. And he's going to drill me to the bone and work on my spins, turns, and expression," Pulkinen said with a smile. "Alex was one of the best performers in the world. I hope to take some of the qualities he had and bring them into my skating."
New start, new team, and new medal!

Camden is back training at Great Park Ice for Nationals while on winter break from Columbia.I chat with 2018 Junior Champion Camden Pulkinen about his skating career so far: How and when he started, winning the Junior Championship in 2018, imposter syndrome and developing his confidence over the next few years as a senior competitor, tips and tricks he uses to ground himself competing now, balancing school and skating while at Columbia University in New York, and who his favorite skaters are.
Replying to myself….SP didn’t go so well. Here’s hoping he can skate lights out in his long program and earn every point he is capable of.Cheering him on to a podium finish this time around. He’s ready!

I agree. If not silver, IMO he should have at least been 2nd in the FP, but congrats to Camden!STOKED that Cammie got a bronze, PISSED as it should have been SILVER. But whatever - he rocked. Wishing him a skate he can proud of at Worlds.
