Are you ready for some Football (NFL style) - 2025/2026 season?

Woke up to find out Eagles lost and sent consolation to my poor brother in law. I can’t even figure out the favorites this year!

Like KC, Philly wasn't really ready to defend their crown! Might as well bow out early & allow new Kings to the throne! :grandpa:

I don't know if the analysts do.

Some think Maye and Patriots. Some thought Purdy and 49ers but Kittle being out for the rest of the season, so?

But who knows.

All WC games were really great, except maybe the Chargers vs Patriots. The Chargers did not really play well.

The Pats deserved to win even though I was cheering for the Chargers. I have the Rams as a consolation!!

Another WC tonight!!

I'm getting a kick out of watching TikToks of the delirious joy you see in Chicago Bears fans. It is especially joyful when you haven't won for awhile in the play-offs and then came from behind to win. Gotta love the jubilation.

I haven't paid as much attn. to Bear fans this go round! They're as predictable as Trump lying about his record! We love our team, even when they're bad! The sellouts never cease! I'd rather look & enjoy the schadenfreude of the Packer fans losing their $#!t! Those TikTok vids are hilarious! They've been spoiled over the years w/ their ownership of our team since the 90's w/ Majkowski, then Favre, & sealing the deal for this entire era w/ Rodgers! Now they lose 2 games in quick succession under historically horrific fashion to us & they can't stand it! They're bout apoplectic up there in "Cheese Land" as they sorta feel snake-bit dropping their last 6 games! Even w/ that lead Sat., they were wound tighter than a drum! One guy actually ripped his TV off the wall & destroyed it after the game ended! It doesn't get any better than that; the entertainment value being priceless after so many yrs. of embarrassment they've laid on us w/ impunity! :p

I did see a lot of cheese graters at the game.

Aaron looked really sad.

Years ago I might have cared! Even though I was from Chgo., I could appreciate Rodgers' ability from the day he was drafted! Favre was going to do him no favors (no pun intended), but over & above not helping the guy, Brett made it his mission to torture Aaron, his coach, & the Org. in those waning yrs.! He played Hamlet, refusing to make a commitment until a season was about to begin! In the meantime Rodgers' cooling his heels on the bench waiting! I had no issue him taking over the team! Of course he had to deal w/ the juvenile behavior of Favre who continued his tyranny by trying to undermine him & the team w/ imagined resentments while playing for the Jets & Vikings! After a few yrs., Rodgers started behaving the same way; missing OTA's, demanding > $$, etc.! He of course was more cerebral than that hillbilly from Mississippi, so "his act" made Nat'l news; esp. sharing a daily program on ESPN w/ Pat McAfee! He eventually became a caricature of himself, often embarrassing himself! He faked a COVID immunization, going to crowded Halloween party as "John Wick" w/o wearing a mask, then catches C-19 & missed 2 games! What an idiot! I have nothing for the guy! :p :40beers::confused::cool:

And yet - so many words and emoticons.

I'm glad the cameras captured a hug between him and Marquez Valdes-Scantling. MVS is a receiver who started with the Packers in 2018. He then ended up with thr Chiefs and won 2 super bowls with Mahomes.

He and Rodgers ended up back together on the Steelers and MVS made at least one key catch in game 17 that got them into the Playoffs.

As the game was winding down, they were talking on the sideline and Rodgers walked away, apparently lost in his own world. MVS kept close by him after the game, and when they were in the locker room, perhaps when he thought the cameras were off of him, Rodgers gave him a hug.

MVS has made some of the most amazing catches, but has too many drops to be at the level of Davante Adams, Cooper Kupp, etc. It was somewhat ironic that they ended up together on the Steelers after Aaron made such a big deal about getting all his favorites on the Jets.

Fiero are you saying you enjoy Green Bay's loss more than Chicago's win? I thought your QB was spectacular in the 4th quarter.

The commentators kept pointing out that Rodgers is too old to move on his feet thus making him less effective as a QB......

His footwork & speed set him apart from other QB's! He truly was the complete package when it came to the position! He was Mahomes before Mahomes! It had to be all downhill after so many League MVP's! :grandpa::rolleyes::cool:
