Are you ready for some Football (NFL style) - 2025/2026 season?

Anyone else watching the monsoon in Tampa Bay?

Yeah! I have no dog in this hunt! I've felt sorry for TB as they've spiraled after such a great start! I was ready to give the nod to Carolina who's been "in the weeds" since the days of Superman, Cam Newton! A Panther player taunted Mayfield out of bounds so I'll stick w/ The Bucs to take the NFC South yet again w/ a mediocre record! :p 😕:)

At least the monsoon stopped. That was some slippery pigball for a while there. No dog in the fight either.

I hope that game with Raiders was not Travis's last game, but if it is he's had an outstanding career.
So true. This will be the first time in years that the whole organization won't be busy during the playoffs. I hope they plan some fun downtime.

That game was soooooo close. I feel your pain. (Yes, missed kicks have played their part in the Vikings' disastrous playoff history. Gary Anderson and Blair Walsh come most immediately to mind.)

I'm still a little verklempt from the Vikings' win over the Packers yesterday. CJ Ham and Harrison Smith are two of my favorite players, and it was likely their last game in the Purple and Gold. :wuzrobbed

Ravens fired Harbaugh: https://www.wbaltv.com/article/john-harbaugh-ravens-part-ways-fired-18-seasons/69928836

I feel bad for the guy. He was a good coach, we had a lot of playoff appearances, won a Super Bowl, but something has been going wrong the past few years. I hope the next coach can fix whatever's broken.

It doesn't look like Harbaugh is going to be hurting for job offers. It's just strange the way they handled it. Apparently he wasn't even allowed to say goodbye to his staff.

So, Bears and the Chargers made it through to PLay Offs! Three games today and one tomorrow.

Can anyone explain the new rule re kickoffs in a simple, concise way. Used to be you could touch back and go to the 25 but now the players line up at the receiver end of the field and then run when the ball is caught??

Yes. If the ball is in play in the landing zone the defense is lined up at the 40 ( I think) and can’t run until the ball is caught hopefully resulting in fewer injuries on both sides.

Thanks re the explanation. I think I understand it. I can see how it may reduce injuries in ko returns

Bills defeat the Jaguars but WHAT a good/close game it was.

Now 49ers and Eagles..............

Without the Chiefs there I am completely relaxed watching these games. Usually I'm stressing out about something football. Fingers crossed for continued good games.

The Bears have wound me up like in no other era outside of the mid 80's! I thought sure they'd lose this playoff game to The Packers & wasn't surprised they fell behind early! It's their MO; coincidently the Chiefs doing the same way back when! It's like they mentally say, "let's give them a lead so we can embarrass them later w/ a heroic comeback!" It caught up w/ Mahomes in the Div. Playoff game vs Brady; getting the lead back late, but leaving time for Brady magic in OT! So far so good w/ Caleb & the Bears! :) :p:grandpa::p

I said the Ch:shuffle:argers but should have said the Rams!!!!!!!

Chargers are now playing and hopefully they will win

Congrats to the 49ers!!

We'll see them in Chicago next week! Philly needed to be knocked out! They've been skating thru on reputation over their results!

I got so confused when I read that. I had to ask my phone again when the Patriots game was.

I can’t agree with your hopes though!

I'd rather Maye made it thru over Hubert even though The Chargers played a tougher schedule! NE got thru a historically easy route!
