Are you ready for some Football (NFL style) - 2025/2026 season?

I think JJ threw a few of those too hard, he was so excited to see Jefferson open.

For a second there, I thought with Micah suffering a serious injury, maybe the Cowboys somehow make the playoffs. They would have had to win out with the Eagles falling apart. If all that had happened, Jerry Jones would have looked like a crazy genius. But, nope, guess he's not.

Mathematically, the Cowboys are still in it. But if the Eagles win this week, Dallas is out, regardless of whether they win or not. Sounds familiar.

As for whether JJ threw too hard, even Jefferson admitted he should have caught that TD ball in the endzone.

I have a lot of respect for the journalist Albert Breer and he brought up something I didn't think about when it comes to Mahomes. Because he has either played in the Superbowl every year or in the AFC championship (and lost) he has actually compiled an extra season's worth of games just from the post season games. I know he wouldn't have it any other way but that is a lot of wear and tear. I hope he doesn't rush things.

You know he's going to be getting a lot of pressure to come back ASAP. He should give it a solid year, but he probably won't.

Which is foolish—the team needs a rebuild anyway. Why rush him in behind a line that can’t protect him? As KC fans we’ve watched plenty of losing seasons. What’s one more?

There are many Chiefs fans and employees who didn't go through the non winning years. They will exit the team fandom ASAP.

Some will demand Andy be fired, some already have. Some will call for Patrick to leave. Some will demand Travis leave, some already have.

Patrick does think he is super human. He returns way to fast from injuries. Remember the knee from 4 years ago or the ankle from last year, I think there was a concussion last year.

I feel like I'm in the fk'n Twilight Zone w/ all this supposition on KC; past, present, & future! Who's stupid enuf to say Reed s/b fired or that Mahomes should move on? That's so ridiculous even for our narcissistic, immediate gratification society! Losing era of this team must be way back b/c I've paid a lot of attn. to them since the days of Schottenheimer! His conservatism was the only thing holding the team back along w/ the "bad luck" that followed him from Cleveland! He got his team in position to make SB's only to have it snatched away in horrible instances from fumbles to multiple missed FG's! :wall: :grandpa::D

Or was it Matthew Stafford last year?
I cannot remember who it was last year. I just thought Henne was good enough to be a starter. On the bright side Travis hit another milestone. I thought the defense looked pretty..... relaxed. At least our draft position improves.

I wonder if the best game was earlier in the week with the Seahawks.

Denver and the Jags look good. And I love the Texans unis this week. Pulling for Detroit who are still a possibility for the post season.

Poor Minshew-----they are reporting a torn ACL.

I’m so used to games on CBS. Of course I am used to Arrowhead too. I don’t care if they move to Kansas but DOMED???? I live for the frigid games.

Yeah CBS is great. You have to subscribe to NFL channel, Prime, Netflix, Paramount+. NFL is squeezing out over the air stations.

Missouri had its chance to keep Arrowhead as home ground. That very small incremental tax was nominal. Our friends' son worked really hard on that campaign. Kansas Governor and Legislature did a lot of wooing, Missouri Governor was very late to the game

But once Royals said they were moving and the US Soccer League supported the women's pro soccer team, the Kansas Speedway is in the area, the expanse of open land for development and the minimal tax failed, I think very few were surprised. Plus the Hunt family gets what the Hunt family wants. I doubt the Mahomes family will leave Chiefs - Patrick has 49% ownership of Royals I believe and Brittany has similar ownership of the Currents Womens Soccer Team.

I will enjoy being near Legends shopping, close restaurants, possible walking distance from hotels. Enclosed stadium, easier exits from interstates and better parking.

IMO Chris Jones saying he's retiring due to move is cowardly. If he retires next year it's because he was going to anyway. Chris doesn't have the influence he thinks he does. I expect Travis to retire - he's accomplished a lot and has more records broken.

I do wonder if the beautiful homes will move to the area even though it's about a 40 mile distance.

If fans leave because of a losing season and a move to a different KC area place...perhaps ticket prices will slow down in increases. I like coolish temps, but an enclosed stadium - sign me up!

Chris is funny. Of course he will be retired by the time it opens if not sooner. I think I was not expecting to see so much rage in some Missouri TikToks. Vowing to never go to a game at the new stadium? Celebrating because Mahomes may be retired by then forgetting that we have watched KC for decades no matter who is there? They act like Clark is moving them to St. Louis. It's the same damned city.

I think The Athletic reports the grades the players give their team situation. For a number of years the players give the facilities an F.while giving the coaching staff an A. Arrowhead is wonderful in that it has lasted this long and is loved by many. But I am not opposed to modern and new.

I don't think Mahomes will retire - Kelce yes, Jones yes. Butker - I don't know.

Reid? I think he wants to recover the team just like Mahomes

JuJu asked to leave, a couple of others. Pacheco maybe, I hope not

Hollywood, Worthy, a couple of defensive guys will stay. Can they convince a Carson Wentz or Philip Rivers type to come out of retirement?

I could be wrong on all accounts.

Besides all the listed reasons above I think Patrick will stay, 1587 just opened. It would continue to be successful if both 15 and 87 exit KC. 87 will keep a home in KC for a while, but He and Taylor have purchased and own too many homes around the country.

But if I can stick with NE after Osbourne, I can stick with Chiefs too.

Maybe they will look at some IWCC Rievers who have been NJOAA national champions for 3 years or Hutchinson Dragons Community College who have been right there with Rievers for the future

This is a sad note for Kelce’s last home game. Except I don’t think this is his last home game😛
Btw—this guy who bought a storage locker realized it belonged to Travis and was full of stuff from his earlier years. He returned personal items to Travis and asked Travis what he would pay for the other stuff and Travis didn’t offer much. I mean the guy has so much stuff. But there were football items and bespoke clothing and shoes—both athletic and designer. I wonder if he forgot about that space.

He did it to himself! You could see very early on in the season that he'd lost a step or 2, sometimes causing more harm when he dropped a pass or the ball deflected into an interception/ "Pk. 6!" He was fooling himself that the team could rebound and come back from that horrible showing in the Super Bowl! Things have only gotten worse as it wasn't all about injuries! Mahomes alone was doing it all w/ little help as he got banged up to finish his season! They were due for some "down time" after so much success the last several years! They used up all their luck getting to the SB, winning all those 1 score games w/ last min. heroics & FG's that "donk'd" just inside in the final seconds of a game! :wall: :grandpa::rolleyes::confused:

Well I agree about some down time but I do disagree somewhat about Kelce. I feel he was better this year than last year even as I agree that he is not the same as five years ago. And yet the groups who rank positions have him as the No. 3 tight end this year thus far. And he made another pro-bowl. So he is still a productive guy. Will he stay? Hope so.

I have a feeling that if Patrick heals fast and ready for next season, Travis will be back. Look at Gronkowski.

Although I think Gronkowski only knew football. Kelce has podcast, some acting things, restaurant businesses. So maybe not.

He was definitely tearing up during the Star Spangled Banner. I guess we will wait and see.

Maybe - Al, Michaels, Kirk Herbstriet, Tony Gonzalez, Ryan Fitzpatrick all talked in terms that it was last game at Arrowhead. Then they all talked about consulting a former Eagles player about life post retirement. I don't watch Dan Patrick except when I'm at PT, wonder what he might say. Or the New Heights podcast, which I do watch.

Patrick and Clark sat there pretty non emotional -couldn't read a facial expression.

Carissa didn't say anything.Maybe Travis confirmed it with Tony but asked him not to say anything.

Whenever it is, now or next year, his number will be retired. (I had my Dante Hall cup out last night and was musing on it, I don't remember how long after Dante retired that his number was retired).

Some rumors are he won't play in the last vs Raiders. I won't say anything bad about Raiders but.....
