Are you ready for some Football (NFL style) - 2025/2026 season?

Lots of drama. I remember when Coach Schottenheimer’s father became the coach of the Chiefs. We were awful before and halfway through his first season. Then in the second half of the season it all changed. That was such a good feeling. It’s like it finally clicks for the players.

Starting to wonder if its the Colts year for the AFC. They've been quietly doing really well or maybe it will be the Texans. I predict it won't be one of the usual suspects repping the AFC in the Superbowl this year. r:eek:
New England looks good too. I am trying to keep up with the NFC as well. I have a soft spot for Detroit but the Rams look good all of the time and Green Bay looks good much of the time.

My Chiefs are down and out of the playoffs so who will be the AFC champion? I bet a number of teams think it is their year. And why not?

Did anything good happen for the Chiefs? Yes. Their third string tackle held his own against the tough Houston D. Total surprise.

My Roku decided I didn't need to see the last 11 seconds.

Tonight they had too many injuries, face a top of the league defense. But a run always ends.

It was a good run. Fun too. And maybe they can pick earlier in the draft. I don’t lose interest when my team loses. I still want to see how this plays out.

Even teams w/ Dynastic character can't win them all! With the way it is w/ player moving around, free agency can be the death of some teams! The Chiefs have held up pretty well over the years w/ one of the biggest losses in Tyreek Hill! They limped along & won 2 more Super Bowls anyway! Their luck has finally just run out for now! :scream: :grandpa::grandpa::confused:

Mathematically speaking, my Vikings still haven't been eliminated from playoff contention. But I expect it to happen this week or next. This season sure hasn't gone to plan, but at least McCarthy looked good this week, and it was a fun game to watch (for a change). Felt bad for Zach Ertz though. While not intentional, the hit that took him out for the season was nasty.

Josh Allen brought his team back today. That will be quite a rivalry going forward. I thought I was going to be ill seeing Mahomes go down with that kneecap popping. I suspect his season is over. Baltimore is hanging in there. And the Texans look strong. The AFC playoffs should be so competitive.

I’ll be satisfied if my Cowboys pull off a .500 season at this point. The few shining lights of hope just haven’t all added up this year. But I hope we can keep Pickens for next season.

What I heard is that September 2026 is the likely time frame to recover from his injury.

Having been a NE fan for years when we lost tight close games, I could see where the season was going in October.

I was pissed that Jefferson was allowed to stay in the game before the helmet to helmet hit on Thornton. At least they ejected him after that.

Yeah that was ugly and then Travis went after him. And the Rice went after him. And then he was gone thank heavens. They had some booming clean hits. But Jefferson took it too far. Well now I'm going to cheer for Minshew the rest of the season!

This is the earliest in the season that my Vikings have been eliminated from the playoffs in quite a while, but it's not like I didn't see it coming. At least they managed to pull out back-to-back wins for the first time all season. And if our role is to play spoiler for the rest of the year, so be it. (Sorry Cowboys fans.) McCarthy looked the best he has all year. KOC may just make a QB1 out of him yet. But Jefferson just hasn't looked like Jefferson at all lately. Has me a little worried, actually. He dropped a couple of passes last night that should have been pretty easy pickings for him.

I think JJ threw a few of those too hard, he was so excited to see Jefferson open.

For a second there, I thought with Micah suffering a serious injury, maybe the Cowboys somehow make the playoffs. They would have had to win out with the Eagles falling apart. If all that had happened, Jerry Jones would have looked like a crazy genius. But, nope, guess he's not.
