… I trained so, so hard since Oberstdorf, I did about 30 of these short programs! Also I am all healthy and no injuries right now; I am very thankful to my gym-trainer. I am putting all the work in for my big goal, the Olympic Games in Milan.”
81.54 skating first!

ETA: FOURTH place in SP :cheer2: & PCS could/should have been higher.

BRONZE!! :cheer:

… I asked Brandon to accompany me as he is a great friend of mine, works in the same rink as me, he is an Olympic champion and a great moral and mental support. The best advise he probably gave me was to concentrate on what I feel and think myself. I am very pleased with my skate today. It’s a bit tough to miss out by 0.2 on a better placement but I concentrate on my own inner feeling. I think I can built on this competition to do even better in the future.”

I watched the men’s free yesterday on Peacock unspoiled. So happy for Torgy!! I’ve been a Torgy uber for a long time. ❤️ His skating skills are devine and take my breath away. I feel like we don’t get to see him skate very often. So Angers was a treat for me. Can’t believe he is getting NHK last minute too! Best of luck. Back to back overseas comps will be difficult. But a great opportunity for him!

Extremely proud of Andrew! 4th place in this field is no easy task, especially going back to back events. I said in the pbp thread that I think a medal was less important than showing consistency, which is what he did here. This sets him up very well for the back half of the season. Here's to continued health and great skating!

Just now watched him; as I'm catching up with everything I slept through. It was lovely to see him finish the program with that huge smile after the last jumping pass! :)
he was so excited after that last pass and then I was excited for him and anyway a good time was had by all

also getting that standing ovation must have been that extra little icing on top
