Well, I made it in time for this first group and it's a good thing I was busy adjusting myself on the sofa with snacks to get through the next 5 hours because Vrankova's music would have put me right back to sleep otherwise.

Last year the cutoff to make the FS was 50.98, though I suspect the bar will be higher this year (Kaiser was 23rd in the SP with a score of 53.68).

Zhang seems pleased with that skate. I'm pleased with it. I liked her unitard but I find when there are cutouts like she had on one thigh, my eye is almost constantly drawn to the cutout. Trying to decide whether that's a good thing or a distraction?

Thanks for that. I actually did check the ISU YouTube site last night right before going to bed and there were no tiles, so I made sure GEM was up and running for me on my TV. Wonder why Canada is blocked on the YT channel? TV rights, I guess. Oh well, I'm more comfy watching it on my reclining sofa in front of my TV anyway. Now .... fingers crossed that the GEM feed is rock solid throughout.
