2026 Worlds Womens FS PBP - La Vie En Drone

Ashley Wagner is so pretty, and these long monochromatic dresses she favors are so hideous. She needs a style intervention, stat.

So this was kind of an on-paper perfect Worlds: triumph, redemption, heartbreak, the rise of the younguns, surprise, and the champion we all wanted. And congrats to Isabeau for finishing fourth overall!

Honestly I do think it's a big misstep by the organizing committee to not have a translator there for Kaori. Like at least for Pairs Minerva speaks English well enough, but most of the Japanese skaters don't speak very good English.
Kaori’s English is pretty good. I suspect she’s a bit of a perfectionist, though, and would avoid impromptu situations where she might get it wrong.

What dream world am I in that Pinzarrone is on the podium? That is seriously the most glorious program and I’ve been saying it for 2 years now.

I was shaking toward the end of Kaori’s program. She really is just that much better.

She's happy, she's very happy, multiple thank yous, then Japanese.

Did Ashley not know Kaori's English was limited?
I wonder if she was told to ask that--on the Runthrough podcast, she talked about looking through all the skaters' socials to avoid asking "how are you feeling", so at least three days ago, she was trying to come up with more interesting questions and I wonder if she chickened out or was told to be generic.

And figure skating reminding us you can never escape Coldplay and a bad cover.

I hope and pray that Kaori and some of the other wonderful skaters have changed the women’s discipline for good. It’s not about the hardest jumps and starving children. It’s the combination of brilliant basic skating and expression and bringing your whole self to the ice.

Kaori also doesn't have social media so she wouldn't have a way to find much out about her there.

It's obvious we need Alysa to hope to get back on the podium though Isabeau had another top 4 finish alysa's consistency is her greatest strength as a skater. Bradie is probably retiring and i feel like Isabeau is maxed out and Sarah needs work on a lot of things though she is also a good competitor. As for Amber it's like a movie where you know the ending but hope it changes but never does.

Do we know if Loena Hendrickx is going to keep competing? Next season, with a healthy Loena and Nina, Belgium would have an awesome one-two punch.
