Almost a carbon copy of the Olympic team event free except with a 2T instead of 3T at the end.

The 3Lz+2A+2A in the second half is a nice points getter, but she won’t be moving up and will be lucky to hold her place.

I still maintain that Maddie should have changed coaches after Beijing. I still think Ravi Walia would have been great for her.

It'll be interesting to see what Maddie does after this season. IIRC she graduates college this year so will she retire from skating or use next season to really focus and see what she can do without school also involved.

Lee Barkell has turned Stephen into such a good competitor. He would be so good with Maddie, but she will never leave her current coaches.

Iida’s hair screams Ballet! and her dress screams Swan Lake! but I guess a lot of skaters just need to get it out of their system.

Love the dedication to the arm-flapping. The teeny jumps lack a freedom that this music requires for a good skate.
But seriously, she deserves a +3 for dedication to balletic arm-positions.

I really prefer Iida's short program. It's cool and fun and she skates it consistently well. But I suppose it's good to get Swan Lake out of your system young.

It's beautiful and elating music though, which is more than could be said for the vast majority of music choices.

No slight to him but I think the vampire is what has given Stephen that little boost (along with no more injuries).

But a big difference between the two is Stephen is holding those spins and doing all the other elements to get those L4's and Maddie is always dropping levels on her spins and steps that it is so frustrating.

I think a fan makes them. So the rule is "you are at an event I am at and I felt like making you a flower wreath".

Maddie might be a musician but that doesn’t translate into physical musicality. Musicians make music, dancers interpret it.

I look at someone like Zingas who did not spend 15 years doing pattern dances, but the girl sure can move.

I would love to see a bit more emotion and individuality from Jia; her skating is so beautiful, especially her soft arm movements, but she just needs a little more "oomph" to make her really great.

Skate gods - please give Shin something more fitting next season, both music and costume. This music overwhelms her and she clearly has no relationship to it.
