2026 Worlds Rhythm Dance PBP - No Liquids Allowed Except For Crystal Waters

Well I'll be happy if it doesn't happen. I just remember a time when everyone said C/B wouldn't ever leave him and then they did.
I didn’t follow dance as much back then but if I remember correctly C/B were on a downward slide at that point where as Z/K are on a very much upward trajectory, so I doubt they would think of leaving Igor any time soon. I would actually be more interested to see if anyone switches to Igor. I don’t know if I would like to see it or not, but it’s the beginning of a quad and could definitely be interesting…

Off to grab the (sleeping) :cat: and head to the V E T - hoping to be back for the start of the next event...

I really enjoyed that, and I'm sad that's our last 90s RD!

Off to get some food and track Mickey Bear down for some cuddles. He wasn't a fan of the 90s music :D

Overall, that was a great RD event. Nice to see so many teams getting a SB at this post-Olympic Worlds. There's always the fear that most of the skaters "peaked" at Olympics and the subsequent Worlds will be a letdown. But, generally speaking, that hasn't been the case here.

I think the placements are absolutely correct. FB/C are clearly the class of the field but it's going to be a real battle for the other 2 medals. Good luck to all the skaters in the FD.

If the spot-discourse-haters will indulge me for just a moment :D , the U.S. teams have set themselves up very well here, with a 4th and a 7th. Fingers crossed they can keep this up.

And Fear/Gibson will have to skate that free dance clean. I hope they can, but it's anyone's guess. I wouldn't mind a Zing/Kol medal at all, but on the other hand I really do love that F/G Scottish dance!
