I am absolutely no teknik in ice dance, but even I could see their missteps in that program.

I liked their Prince RD so much better.

Huge break in the twizzles and still positive GoE? I’d really like to see more mandatory negatives in ice dance. It’s just as bad as 6.0 now.

He skates like a truck driver. I’d drop them way down.

ETA: I guess it must’ve been a barely green (I can’t see from my seat) given the score. Placement seems right

Not gonna lie... As much as I liked their Prince RD, I feel like we were unfairly deprived of the cheesy fabulousness & snark we'd have loved had we been given a full season of Romain le Gac living his best life and singing along to "Sex Bomb" for the 2nd half of this RD. No one else should ever be allowed to skate to that song again, he just embodies it so perfectly, lol.

She did an extra turn and they got a whopping 0.20 in GOE.

Unfortunately, not Marie-Jade and Romain's best outing this season. I kind of wish they had gone back to the Prince program. They weren't really interpreting the SexBomb section all that well. Oh well, you can't always be on the very top of your game. I do love her unitard though.

ETA: Scott did his very best to keep smiling in the K/C though. So, there's that.

Not sure if it’s obvious on tv but the tracking on T&V’s twizzles was all over the place - moving in all kinds of directions. I thought they might crash on the third set. A lot of power but not much control. I was underwhelmed and would put them behind the Czechs. (Caveat: I can’t see the scoring tracker)

Yeah, it was obvious - Mark even slightly gasped on the third set because of how close they got.

Finally some deserved red on the twizzles though I’d have gone even lower. They looked like they were doing them for the first time.

Not sure where it has gone so wrong for these two, but they skate small. This wouldn’t qualify on my scorecard.
