I recognize the technical excellence, but still can't get into this program or team at all. If she had done the costume in a silver, black, any color other than baby/flesh pink it would have been better.

I'm also over hearing Mark fawn over them nonstop.

Tho is fun and all but also endemic of all that’s wrong with ice dance at the moment. No ice coverage compared to the teams who have skated so far. Even compared to, say, the Germans or Australians there’s a gulf in basic skating quality. The second twizzles looked basically in place. That fall may be the only thing that gets to a correct result, which should be this team not making the cut for the free

Tough break on pattern dance and they really slowed down and tensed up after it for the fun Finns.

I have to begrudgingly admit FB&C skated the RD the best I’ve seen them do, with better unison than in Milan.

I still find them rather slow for a top team, and the choreography full of standing still and posing. I don’t think there should be an enormous gap with other top teams if they skate well, but not holding out hope…. Guessing I can skip out early from the free dance, as they’ll be first with an insurmountable lead.

The coronation will continue but they looked a lot more slow here than in Milan. The step sequence ended 6 feet from the boards and twizzles covered a lot less distance.

On the upside, they seemed more relaxed than they have all season.

Interesting as I don't find them particularly overscored. They often score low.

Aww I feel awful. I wanted the Brits to make it but I do really like the Fun Finns Now we would need another 2 falls to push them in (and the Hungarians above them who I also liked). We'd need a 2006 style nightmare to get this done.

It wasn't a fall but it was enough of an error & stumble on the helicopter movement to drop them out of the FD. I'd be sadder about that if that meant we were losing their Cabaret Chicago FD but seeing as it's their Moulin Rouge FD we'll miss out on, I'm fine with this result.
