I would imagine they're keeping the drone off ice while people are actually performing. The risk of disaster would be too much for the ISU to come back from I think.

Agree...and they had issues going up into the lift.... VERY positive GOE on the lift that baffles me. Woudl love to see judges judge what is actually happening on the ice. The other elements, sure....but not those lifts.

MetBeru - SBS 3s - well done; 3tw - fabulous; throw 3f - gorgeous; BIDS - good; SBS spins - fairly decent unison; lift - his feet were less sketchy than usual; step seq - fine.

Well, that is certainly going to lead. Felt a bit flat compared to PerMich, but almost everything they did was undeniably great quality.

MiNiki - 3tw - very nice; SBS 3s - swish; throw 3lo - gorgeous; lift - beautiful; BIDS - excellent; SBS spins - best of the day - close together & spot-on unison; step seq - great tension & delivery.

This SP is soooo much better than their FS. I don't know if it will be enough to beat MetBeru today, but I'd be okay with them going into the FS in 2nd and chasing for the title.
