2026 Worlds Pairs SP PBP - Prague Fling

Eating branches off of one of our trees. It was a young moose so not very big relatively to how big they can get. Still massive compared to the deer that have been wandering around my neighbourhood all winter.

I live in the city but close to a creek with trails so wildlife coming into the area isn't unusual but moose don't usually come into the residential areas.
As a city person this stuff always amuses me. I was with my partner's family for Christmas in Montana, an entire herd of elk crossed their property, and no one blinked an eye. Even their dog was pretty chill about it.

At least the Swiss team had better costumes for a Michael Jackson program. My opinion about people not using his music for programs has not changed in the last two hours though.

PavSvia - 3tw - excellent; throw 3f - turned out on the landing; SBS 3t - good; lift - nice; BIDS - decent; step seq - fine; SBS spins - unison slightly off throughout.

Meh. Not their best effort. Personally, I might have that behind both NagaMori and ChanHowe, but TES says they'll be ahead of both.

I just find the "hungarians" boring

We already have a "georgian" team that is much interesting, well Anastasiia is... Luka is just there :shuffle:

Wow - didn't even crack 70 - a LOT closer to NagaMori and ChanHowe than I expected.

Someone bring a tennis racket to the arena tomorrow and take care of that damn drone.
It's like they wanted to capitalize on how much people enjoyed seeing Jordan Cowan on the ice with the skaters at the Olympics without paying Jordan Cowan.

I would have preferred seeing Jordan Cowan. Not only is the drone annoying, Jordan Cowan's rig is stabilized and the drone is kind of disorienting because it's not a stabilized rig.

Yeah, I think whoever made that decision overestimated how much people want to see the skaters blurry, discolored and diagonal.

EfiMit - 3tw - very nice; SBS 3t - she two-footed & was short on rotation; throw 3lo - hand down; lift - nice enough; BIDS - fine; step seq - fine; SBS spins - not the best unison.

Underwhelming.

Now, I know no one had ChanHowe as the top-ranked US pairs team after the SP, but that's what we're looking at because there's no way that 3t isn't going to get at least a q call.

I think one collision between drone and girl up in a lift would be enough to ban it from the arena. Maybe one of the group one pairs would be willing to take one for the team in the free skate.
I would imagine they're keeping the drone off ice while people are actually performing. The risk of disaster would be too much for the ISU to come back from I think.

The seniors at my school have some kind of assassination game going on with water guns. This is our third year doing it and they've gotten quite good at sneak, sniper-esque attacks across the parking lot. Maybe I could donate one to Prague--they could definitely take one down.
