2026 Worlds Pairs SP PBP - Prague Fling

NagaMori - 3tw - crashy dismount; SBS 3lo - very nice; throw 3s - bit pitched forward on the landing but otherwise fine; lift - excellent as usual; BIDS - solid; step seq - fine but can she have any kind of expression? SBS spins - fine.

This is one program I am not sad to be seeing for the last time.

And, seriously, Mark, this program wasn't THAT amazing. I bet it doesn't crack 70. And that it gets beat by at least one team in the next group.

ETA - vindicated with a 69.55!

If they leapfrog over the Russgarians for bronze, I'll    . I'll also :wuzrobbed:wuzrobbedfor P/S...but mostly I'll just laugh. Ironically.

ChtWoz - 3tw - nice; SBS 3t - done; throw 3s - also done; SBS spins - really decent; lift - nice air position & speed; BIDS - bit sketchy on the exit; step seq - fine.

Good for them! I'd have that above the Armenians.

I like it and look forward to it. Is this the team you say doesn't skate well outside of Asia? If so, can't say that now!
They don't CONSISTENTLY skate well outside of Asia. They had a good SP at Finlandia in the fall but their FS wasn't so great. Anyone who is calling them as potential bronze medalists here is smoking crack.

I love Florence + the Machine, but their music is just not made for skating. Better skaters than the Poles have tried.
I think the only songs they have that are skateable are cover songs. The Just a Girl cover does work for skating, it's problem is that it's kind of a meh cover, but none of their original songs work for skating.

They don't CONSISTENTLY skate well outside of Asia. They had a good SP at Finlandia in the fall but their FS wasn't so great.
So it was this team.
Anyone who is calling them as potential bronze medalists here is smoking crack.
Yeah, not seeing that with 8 more teams above them to skate. 7 of which have a higher SB in the SP than they do. :D

I have zero expectations for ChanHowe. Well, no, that's not true. I have every expectation this won't be nearly as great of a competition as the Olympics.
