2026 Worlds Pairs FS PBP - Loathe Story

So, Germany, Georgia & Hungary are all in a position to each earn 3 pairs spots next season and between the 3 countries, they have 4 pairs teams at the senior level...

How difficult will it be for Pazienza/Knorr to get minimums? They usually place near the bottom in international competitions.
Impossible since they've split & she's looking for a new partner. Their other team that competed Jrs this season (and went to Jr Worlds) have a SB of 118.58 - so the likelihood of SUI using the 2nd spot is about 1%.

Sikharulidze is cracking down on country switching so HUN and GEO are unlikely to recruit new pairs.

Difficult since they’ve split. :P

Laura GAUCH / Linus MAGER just debuted for SUI at Junior Worlds and are ISU Senior age-eligible. Don’t yet know if they can get the CTES minimums…

Is it dominance when they only have two pairs teams at both the senior & junior levels?
What's that saying about the size of the dog in the fight? For Japanese pairs teams, we could amend it to something like: "It's not the amount of teams in the fight but the amount of fight in the teams."

Yeah, and Russian media keeps thinking the ban will be lifted sooner rather than later. I'm sort of expecting it to last through next season - the ISU won't lift their ban until the IOC says they can allow seniors back; heck the ISU hasn't even moved on/made a decision to allow juniors back despite the IOC allowing IFs to do so back in December.

perhaps this will inspire more Japanese skaters to go into pairs. I did say future :shuffle:

Every time I see this P/S program I have to look up the music because the vocalist is so distinctive and familiar and it's always - nope, I don't know her [insert Mariah Carey meme].

PavSvia - 3tw - beautiful; SBS 3t+2a+2a - fabulous; throw 3f - pitched forward on landing; SBS 3s - hand down & turned out; first lift - good; second lift - alright; BODS - I don't actually hate the blade grab on this one; throw 3lo - gorgeous; last lift - nice; choreo seq - decent; combo spin - alright.

Hmmmmmmm... This is going to be really interesting to see if they can get enough of a PCS boost to stay ahead of NagaMori.

Does anyone know anything about Dimitri Savin’s skating background? I couldn’t find anything. He does great work
He and Klimov are becoming the I.AM for pairs. ;) Will they have 2 pairs on the podium?

ETA: JPN or HUN & Hase/Volodin, I hope!
