I love this program, but I’m so conflicted on the scoring of it. It’s like adagio ice dance. It’s so open and trick oriented. But extraordinarily effective. Today I’m going with it. But I reserve the right to change my mind.

I don't get why Mark isn't pointing out how open it is.

The choreographic elements and lifts are so well crafted, creative, and compositionally perfectly placed, but the in-betweens empty. The former still deserves praise despite the counter issue.

Given that Dune II sounds to me exactly the same as Dune II is not very much a stretch to use the same music and called it Dune III

I mean that is pretty much why Zimmer wasn't allowed to submit Dune II for the Oscars Original Score category. Too much of the score for II sounded like the score for the first movie.
