The opening 3a+2t wasn't as bad as some folks here make it seem; the second one was gorgeous.

Oh, lordy, Johnny... She's not vying for a spot on the Olympic team because she's not AGE-ELIGIBLE!!!!

She's definitely improved since last season on her PCS. Still plenty of work to do but, like Emilia earlier, I think she's got the potential to be a contender on the senior level with a bit more time & work.

OK, back from Cdns. for the rest of the US Women's event. So, I missed SJVF doing a two 3-axel program ... darn it. Oh dear ... and Sherry just took a tumble. Oh well ... good luck to everyone from this point forward. I'm definitely going to be nervous when we get deep into the last group.

If I were skating in this event, I'd be getting +GOE for puking, so I have huge respect for anyone out there on the ice. But this performance really seems like "ticking off the boxes", with minimal interpretation.

Sorry, didn't mean to offend. I was skimming and just translated "doesn't deserve positive GOE" into "full of issues, but it's Nats, so the judges are throwing out positive GOE like Halloween candy".

Good for Zhang. That was a really nice program. Lovely positions in the spins (flexibility !!) and gorgeous extensions. Love the little things like the spirals and Ina Bauers .... wish the skaters had time to do more of these beautiful moves in their programs.
