Are you seriously arguing that Ashley's commentary is good for this group?

Or that someone like Mark Hanritty would be commentating over their heads?

I'm arguing that none of the other commentators are any better than Ashley, and i think a lot of what they say and how they say it is directed by NBC. I did say in a post earlier that she's a better podcaster and that if they want to use someone from the Runthrough, they should use Adam. I am also strongly implying that Ashley gets more flack not because she's worse but because people didn't like her behavior 20 years ago. At least Ashley's not mean and snarky like Johnny can sometimes be.

Comparing them to Mark is an apples to oranges comparison. Mark probably doesn't have a directive--he's from a country that only has one competitive team. He's commenting on skating for an international audience, not Holly Homemaker USA. I'm sure Johnny, Tara, Ashley, and Adam would ALL be different if they had the luxury of neutrality for a world audience. It's a small, unscientific sample but given the choice, my mother prefers Johnny and Tara to Mark during the GP. She's always surprised I'd rather listen to him than the NBC team.
