Oh, interesting... The tune they're skating to is familiar to us as "Carol of the Bells" but it's a Ukrainian folk tune originally. That's a nice nod to Vadym's heritage.

Yeah. I'm pretty sure they still strongly prefer going with the Nationals order when selecting the team, and only go against it when someone who finished lower has significantly higher scoring potential.

I think most of the time, BOW and finish at Nationals map pretty closely.

Because I knew the pain to pleasure ratio for this event was way too high (NBC was not going to miss a chance to let Johnny and Tara babble nonstop and do other useless things) I just now turned it on to see the team with all but the last three skaters announced.

I have been enjoying this. Cool concept and it feels like it is working. Love seeing the skaters with their support teams celebrating with them. Making me cry...Naumov's godmother, Igor as Vadim's surrogate dad. Actually was happy for Chan/Howe, I hope they are able to sharpen their programs for the Olympics but I know they are just thrilled to have made it.

I’ve been thinking that all week, with her face full and the all-black with the hiding-everything coat. Sweater would’ve left it questionable, except she kept putting her hand on her tummy and she’s definitely full-bodied like she is pregnant.
