Controversial take here but I wish Vadym had a partner with an ice dance background simply because he himself is a really great ice dancer. She is great but as a freeskater vibe for sure. I just can't enjoy his abilities for all the acrobatics.

That's interesting. It was a little weird to me when Ben Agosto is right there doing great dance commentary, but I do love Gabi.

Great skate from Emilia/Vadym. Just no hesitation at all, they totally went for it! I don’t love the choreo step in this program—just doesn’t seem to totally fit—but I really like the rest of it. Great moment for them!

I think G/P could have beaten C/P by the ID equivalent of a Malinin victory, and they'd still send C/P on BOW.

So Kolesnik, who could probably have his pick of partners after he and Nguyen split in 2020 as World Junior champion, is told by his coach, "Hey, I have this PERFECT girl for you. She's never been an ice dancer." And he says, "Okie, dokie." That has to have been huge trust in Shpilband. And here they are, six years later, possibly the front-runners to take over as US #1 from Chock/Bates after this season.

Well-skated and I still like the program. Twizzles are still shockingly bad. Lift in the middle of the program is the highlight. Speed is still.. not great.
