I’m not going to the Junior events, but I looked at my tickets out of curiosity and they just say GA (general admission). I thought all FOFS members had VIP.

I am not sure, I thought I saw something about the VIP only being for front row ticket holders.
With that being said, we are also FOFS members.

Info from USFS indicates the dedicated seats at Centene are for "Friends of Figure Skating P1A all-session ticket holders". P1A seats are only those in Row 1, which cost something like $600 more than Row 2, I think. I imagine a lot of people had the same reaction to that pricing I did ("ludicrous").

That is what I read! The pricing is ludicrous, we went for it but severely regret it especially after this whole alternate arena a 30 minute drive away situation came to be.

USFS has sent out an email about front-row seating at Centene (for folks with Row 1 All-Event tickets) and the shuttle. The text is as follows:

To access your front row tickets, please login to the St. louis blues app and select "tickets" on the bottom banner and then select "Mobile Tickets Manage My Tickets" on the top third of the screen. From there you will select the corresponding day for Monday or Tuesday event and your Light Green ticket that says VIP like the image below [image not included in this post]. You can view your ticket to get into the building.

If you do not have a Light Green ticket in your account, and you have a P1A ticket at Enterprise Center, please reach out to Robert at [email protected] who can assist.

The first row should be reserved between sections 112-123. Please speak to an usher if you are having difficulty finding a front row seat.

Shuttle:

1. Please see the attached schedule for the shuttle that will be running from Downtown St. Louis to Centene. Please note that many hotels are close together, so check and see which pick up location is closest to you!

I'd advise taking a careful look at the shuttle schedule to see whether the shuttle will be useful enough to justify the cost (in comparison to a taxi/Uber/Lyft). There seem to be just 4 trips per day, and if you're staying at the Drury Inn or the Hilton (the first pick-up point), the trip is scheduled to take 80 minutes.

MetroLink runs to the airport in about 30 minutes; it runs every 20 minutes. I have no idea how much a taxi/Uber/Lyft would cost from the airport to Centene--or all the way from one of the downtown hotels to Centene. I don't know anything about the layout of the hotel lobbies, but perhaps there's an obvious place folks could gather if they want to share transportation out to Centene. Obviously, it would have been easier to figure out options like that if USFS had released info on the shuttle schedule earlier.

FWIW, if one were to travel to Centene from downtown via combination of Metrolink + Lyft/Uber, my understanding is:

At Lambert Airport Terminal 1, the Metrolink station is on upper level (same level as airline ticket counters), near exit door 1.
Ride App Pickup also is on upper level, near exit door 6.
On top map at first link below, toward the left is door 6 (marked with red square) --- and further left is Ride App Pickup (marked as "48" in circle that is hunter green). Metrolink station is toward the right.

Google Maps says that Lambert Terminal 1 is eight miles away from Centene (13 minutes by fastest route).

But when I actually need to go to Centene, I will double-check real-time Lyft/Uber price quotes for airport to Centene vs. downtown hotel to Centene.
If price quote for airport to Centene is not significantly lower than for downtown hotel to Centene, then maybe not worth taking Metrolink to airport first.

MetroLink has a separate station in Terminal 2.

Seniors planning to use MetroLink a lot might find it worthwhile to get a reduced-fare permit at the Transit Access Center, 801 Pine St. The fare reduction is 50%. The TAC is only open weekdays from 8 AM to 4:30 PM. You'll need a photo ID with proof of age, like a driver's license.

I've seen several different fares shown on the Internet, but I think the current regular fare is $2.50, even for the trip into town from the airport.

Championship-Level Practice Sessions
All-session ticket holders will have access to practice sessions Tuesday-Saturday at Enterprise Center. Please use the First Community Entrance on Clark Street to enter for practices. Your tickets in the St. Louis Blues App should have a dark blue background and say “All-Session” at the top of them. Tuesday’s practices will be open to anyone with an all-session ticket. Access to practices Wednesday through Saturday will require an all-session ticket for the first session of the day in order to be allowed entry to the building (i.e. if you would like to go to the Wednesday morning practice, you need to show a session 1 all-session ticket denoted by a blue background). If you previously added your ticket to your smartphone wallet, please use the ticket in your St. Louis Blues app to gain entry for practices.

So we need to download yet another app? What is this process?!

I figured it out (I think). If your tix are still showing black/presale, go to the Ticketmaster app, click to see your Nats tix, log in with TM password, click on "event details" for each ticket, then click on the box with your seat section/row/number, click to View in Wallet, then the ticket in your wallet pops up and the background changes to blue and it will say All Session Pass. You need to do this for each ticket.

This is insanity.

Based on the article about Alisa & Misha linked in the pairs thread, the Olympic team won’t be announced until the exhibition on Sunday. I know we’ve speculated about it for a while, but do we think that’s what will actually happen? This seems to be the first article that at least somewhat confirms it. I don’t see how it can be kept under wraps that long.

I don't think that US Figure Skating and NBC have really thought this through very well. Diehard fans are going to be pissed if we're made to wait until Sunday for the team to be announced. It'd be one thing if they were staying on the air both Friday night and Saturday night after the free skates were over & the Int'l Committee met to confirm the Olympic team selections, then there was an introduction, similar to how NBC and USAG handled their team announcements in 2024, but this seems like just a normal exhibition gala with the addition of the special presentations for the newly named Olympic team like they did in 2022. We knew beforehand because the USFS had issued the press releases naming the Olympic, 4CCs, Jr Worlds and Worlds teams per usual.

Do we know for a fact that the Sunday event will involve an exhibition? I would think if it was, they would call it by its usual name, the Skating Spectacular, with a note about the team announcement as an add-on. I wouldn't put it past USFS to have a 2-hour event with a bunch of speeches from former Olympians and video montages, with the team announcement and short interviews in the last 15-30 min or so.

And i'm sure word of the team will leak out before then. It's 2026.

That’s what I’m thinking - make it look like the announcement without it actually being the announcement. There’s no way the skaters and coaches (much less the officials, USOPC, etc) would be okay with waiting 36+ hours in some cases for the news to go public.

I was just looking and there are plenty of single session tickets available for every day. There are still a handful of seats in the lower bowl, even, for Friday evening's 2nd session, which is the session with the least availability right now.

I noticed that too - that's what makes me think this is a re-branded version of what they did in 2022 with the special presentations (like the Gibson guitars) to the Olympic team.

I'm leaning toward the USFS will still put out the press release on their website as soon as the Int'l Committee meets on Friday & Saturday evenings, and the diehard fans will actually know who is on the team before the Sunday special.

I hope the skaters will know before the show. It would be terrible for the ones that don't get a spot on the team to get the info in a live show. This is about a dream they have been working for all their life. It's not some kind of silly casting show.
