2026 Olys Pairs FS PBP - Are We Not Entertained?

PavSvia - 3tw - gorgeous; SBS 3t+2a+2a - excellent; throw 3f - very nice; SBS 3s - beautiful; first lift - nice; second lift - also lovely if a bit slow on the exit; BODS - this blade grab is not as unattractive therefore it may remain; throw 3lo - swish; last lift - bit of an effort getting it up but good otherwise; choreo seq - really nice; combo spin - interesting first position but no team should ever finish on a pairs combo spin because there's usually zero impact.

That was really great! I'd be thrilled if they wound up on the podium today.

Pavlova/Sviatchenko - No obvious mistakes. That was very very good. If those to come make big errors they could theoretically get a medal.

Maria put her hard to the right and then quickly smiled to her partner at the end, without finishing the programme nicely and extending that arm. It's the little things that make a difference. I know, I know, I'm picky.

Well skated otherwise, well done to them, though that last lift was rough and their spin was quite slow.

I find the Japaneses program a snoozefest. The music is great, but there is not a lot of connection to it. Am I the only one? Can't argue with their elements but their PCS shouldn't be that high for anything other than skating skills and composition.
No, I don’t feel that way about the Japanese, but that’s how I feel about the Hungarians. Lots of nice things going on, but no connection to the music or to each other.

That was very good:cheer:

Too bad they end with their worst element, that spin was slooooow

And the GOE was super generous!

I hope being in the final group doesn't spook Lia and Trennt too much, they've never really been in a position like this before. I just want them to have a good skate.
