Throws were gorgeous, but the side-by-side jumps were a mess, and the overall impression was lacking in this performance.

AkoRakh - 3tw - very nice; SBS 3t - fall for her; throw 3f - gorgeous height & distance; SBS 3s+seq+A - she fell out of the 3s; first lift - nice; second lift - difficult entry & nice all-around; throw 3s - also gorgeous; FODS - oh, goody, another blade grab - give them NEGATIVE GOE; choreo seq - meh - judges gave it negative GOE; last lift - nice; combo spin - some interesting positions & decent speed.

Well, that happened. Agree with Johnny - there just wasn't much oomph to it apart from the throws.

Even the Novices do it better. Seriously, that has to be the worst mismatch of skaters and theme since Frank tried to make Christopher Bowman do something introspective.

Nikita is a bull in those lifts but her positions could be more stretched. Not bad but they need more polish overall.

Nikita seems such a good partner. You can really see the effort and care he takes over setting up throws, coming out of lifts, etc. And he's very supportive of his partner after she made mistakes.

Akopova has such nice lift positions-a lot of tension in her core and no floppy arms and legs. I hope they continue to improve now that they are back on the ice and do well at Worlds and next season.

First skaters to look actively disappointed with their skate. Yes, there were errors, but taken as a whole it wasn't too bad.
