What carrier are you on? See if you can manually switch over to a different carrier, which you can usually do while roaming. Internet has been fine for me so guessing some carriers are better than others.

Aw, Carol, that's a bit harsh to call the music "noise". It was repetitive and didn't have a lot of variety in the melody, but it wasn't that dire.
