I love how opinions change with the moment. I remember all the criticism Chock/Bates received over the years from his dropping Emily to whining about her skating. I always preferred her to Hubble. They've had an excellent career and have 2 olympic gold and a silver. I'd have been thrilled if it had been 3 OGMs. However, Cizeron is probably the best ice dancer of either gender in 20 years--maybe longer. Hate him all you want, but he is the Savchenkoesq wizard on the ice.

I enjoy all of their episodes but most of the time when discussing FB/C it delves into an extended discussion about how they have the best skating skills ever and that's the most important thing (although @tony has been good in recent episodes to try & call out when he sees something done well by the other teams including C/B). And C/B usually includes an extended discussion about how her twizzles are the worst ever & completely undeserving of the scores they get. Just saying, the casuals who are going in as fans of Piper & Paul or Maddie & Evan probably won't get what they're expecting.

Since we have an off day tomorrow and I recorded both programs in full, I think we are going to do another deep dive like we did with GPF. not being able to ever use any broadcast clips hurts our explanation ability a lot.

I’ve said from day 1 that Chock/Bates needed to beat them in the RD to have a real chance. I don’t think they could have done more in the FD. They were never going to get Level 4 on the one foot.

I swear some people are so transparent. Ragging on twizzles for so long and then Cizeron has his most visible error on them of the season and only one judge gives them a 0 on GOE and those same people are like who cares about twizzles. Still the best!#$! lol

Poor Lilah. I wasn't rooting for them to medal, but I still feel so bad for her (and both of them). Losing out to a team that has often beat you is one thing, but it's so hard to feel like you were less than your best.
