I still think it's a bad idea. They don't need to for USA to win and I think they'll lose to FRA in the TE which doesn't set them up well for the individual. Plus there is Evan's back.

Agree. If Canada makes the FS/FD then the US needs ChoBat to skate the FD segment - ZingKol aren't beating GilPoir and may not beat LajLag in the FD.

How do you figure exactly? Canada was looking at 5th in the short program in pairs with them. With Pereira/Michaud, they are slotting in basically the same place, maybe higher with what just happened with the Chinese.

Eh, France didn't do itself any favors deciding to go with Aymoz in the SP based on season averages. But, like @tony said, China just handed both Canada & the USA a huge gift in pairs if they can capitalize on it.
