2025 World Athletics Championships (Tokyo, Japan)

Great to see a sold out crowd on the first night with so few titles to be decided. Shows that major events like this need to be held in major cities and not backwaters if you want to get a good atmosphere for the athletes.

Watching the women’s marathon and sweating at the thought of even walking in Tokyo at this time of year never mind running. :scream:

Ryan Crouser just won his third straight world championship in shot put - it was his first competition in more than a year because he has been and is still injured, and he only made it to the world championships because he was given a wildcard entry. Definitely the GOAT of shot put. (He also has 3 Olympic gold medals in the event.)

Huge upset in 3000m steeplechase with Geordie Beamish 🇳🇿 upsetting two-time Olympic champion Soufiane El Bakkali 🇲🇦

Another World Record for Mondo Duplantis 🇸🇪!!!!

I think he may be one of the greatest athletes I’ve ever seen in any sport.

Normally i roll my eyes when people use the word GOAT for anything or anyone that doesn't deserve it but Ryan is without a doubt the greatest shot putter in history. Dude was injured heading into Paris too at the Olympics and still dominated and won with his first throw. I just wish people would use the word GOAT only for people like Brady, MJ or Ryan.
