3A attempt was really good. So much snap into it and when she does land it, it'll be huge.

But now it's all coming apart. she's such a more well-rounded skater than Schizas but she's going to let this first Olympic-season opportunity completely go to waste.

I truly think it was just the excitment from the 3a because she really settled down later

I think Dupuis used all her fuel thinking about the 3a. Almost nothing clean in the program, with trips and stumbles and stepouts on most jump landings.

Didn't refocus after the miss on the triple Axel, and the rest of the program got away from her.

103.17 = 5th Place
163.58 = 4th Place

Unless there's a different screen on the Canadian feeds, we don't see what's under review. Gray means 0.00 GOE, nothing positive or negative.

I do think it's good that Dupuis keeps doing the 3A. That's the best way to get it consistent.

I can't see how a skater without a 3A or quad is going to be competitive past this year. This is the time for Dupuis to be trying the difficult elements and learning how to do them in the rest of her program. She's still close enough to Schizas to warrant consideration for the sole Olympic spot.
