2025 Skate Canada Mens SP PBP - The Nightmare Before Quads Miss

I'm gonna repeat it since Aymoz and Edgaze are skating back-to-back. Eteri is obsessed with Kevin's skating. She watches him so happily when he's practicing, and I know she's just dying to have her skaters do what he does. I guess that's one redeemable quality she has.

Poor Kevin, I would be scared out of my mind if I had Eteri's direct gaze at me, that or turn to stone, whatever comes first :scream:

I love Kazuki. He always has such diversity between SP to LP and we will see it again here. I despised his FS last year, he's so much better than it. But he brought back his program from 2024 and it's a masterpiece IMO.

All the jumps need reviewed but this was fun.

Well, Kazuki's making a play for that 3rd Japanese men's spot, but I don't trust him to skate a clean FS, so I'm sure he'll take himself right out of the mix tomorrow.

the voiceovers are giving me Im Too Sexy flashbacks

interesting/unexpected program choice
I like it, although putting spins on the fast part only works if you are spinning fast (I mean the mid-program spin - ending spin was fine)

Kazuki Tomono 🇯🇵
Coach: Taijin Hiraike, Yukako Sugita
Music: That’s It (I’m Crazy) by Sofi Tukker

4T+3T
4S - slightly out of control, hangs on
Flying Camel Spin 4
3A - slow to check rotation, hung on
Change Foot Sit Spin 4
Step Sequence 3

Change Foot Combo Spin 4 (3 after review)

The jumps are on the edge, and today it was the right edge, but not necessarily at the exact moment he would have wanted.

92.07 = 1st Place

Some of these music selections make no sense to me. This is an Olympic season, pick Olympic worthy music! This isn’t Adam Rippon, just doesn’t make sense to me for Tomono in such a competitive men’s field in Japan.

Wow, Kazuki bringing it too. This men's competition (so far) has been surprisingly great so far. Keep it up, guys.

I noticed that at Worlds. I think it's kind of weird, but maybe that's because I don't want to credit her with a redeemable quality.
