As much as we make fun of B E N O I T 's choreography, it's 1000 times better than Gleikhengauz, especially for Egadze. (If he just had better costumes and hairstyle)

Egadze is one of the loudest skaters I’ve seen live with his blades being so noisy and scratchy on the ice, carving it out. The attempts to dance and pander to the judges just fall flat IMO.

Egadze’s programmes are a bit better this season (thanks B E N O I T, I guess) but why he chose to wear poop brown for the short and pond sludge green for the free remains a mystery.

It's a weird thing to say I suppose but I can just see he has an innate musical ability. It just doesn't really come through. So much better this year but still not there in the competitive programs.

Jumps getting rough, making it all a bit flat.

Maybe he needs to ask Eteri for more?

Very upright, and stretch in the jumps, but doesn't have the best use of his knees to land the jumps with better flow.

All three medalists (including Edgaze himself) made light of it in the press conference in France. It was clearly a joke.

Anyone notice that Ilya did his backflip in the short in a tuck position? I’m not sure who else has done that. So far he’s done it layout/2f and layout/1f and now as a tuck. Dude is bored skating against the humans.

Chris mentioned on IG that it's his last event, won't be back till Euros. Mark is only doing two events. So are we left with Ted for the other?

That’s too bad. Chris is definitely my fave commentator.

Chris is such a skating fan, I love that he can cheer on every skater. His knowledge of each one is great.

This is why I enjoy him. He’s knowledgeable but not judgmental. He always acknowledges the intentionality and effort behind it all.

Gogolev's transitions from highlight move to highlight move are "back to business" when they need to be connected.

4S absolutely short to start. So messy throughout most of the other jumping passes and the +REP lost base points.

Sad to say whether Gogolev has had endless injuries or not, but he's typically good for one good program a competition. He went from what, 17th in the SP to 1st or 2nd in the LP at Canadian Nationals? He had one solid SP+LP competition this year and it seemed like people were eager to make him the leader in Canada but that was such an anomoly.

The program really doesn't fit his skating. He looks down, doesn't have lines, doesn't really listen to any of it.

This music is such a bad choice for Gogolev. The climax in the steps is just sad. So so so sad. Completely thrown away choreo.

A bit rough around the edges today, and not able to snap the air position quite as easily as yesterday.
