Does anyone know what the food situation inside the arena is like? There’s not much info on the website

Well, this does not sound promisingDoes anyone know what the food situation inside the arena is like? There’s not much info on the website
: https://www.stadiumjourney.com/stadiums/centre-slush-puppie-gatineau-olympiquesWe were able to bring food into the arena last year in Laval, possibly it will be the same this year? It doesn't seem reasonable to expect people to survive on snacks when they're in house for several hours at a time.Food & Beverage 3
Recessed within each corner of the concourse are the concession stands, and this design limits the impact of long lines on those who are walking by. The food offerings are basic and include nachos ($7), popcorn ($5), and cotton candy (barbe à papa, $6) is your heaviest option, with chips ($4) and chocolate bars ($3) to round out things. Of course, there are two flavors of Slush Puppie, with small cups going for $2 and large for $3. Coca-Cola beverages are available in bottles for $4, and you can get 473ml cans of beer for $8 or $9, depending on the brand. There is one specialized concession that sells only liquor and includes vodka, gin, and whiskey.
I suspect yes, there's at least 3 community ice pads at the facility--it is where NextGen was held last 2 years. Is the practice rink at the Slush Puppie centre and is the public allowed to watch?
On another note, can we agree that this is an amazing name for an arena?
We got physical all event tickets for seniors, and there is one for Friday, two for Saturday (day vs evening) and one for Sunday. No events listed on them and nothing for practices on Thursday. Maybe the digital ticket are different?Historically you needed a practice ticket to watch practices, these would come as part of an all event ticket. I do not have all event tix to the competition, so maybe someone who does can chime in for this year's arrangement.

Do they check your bags for food?At the arena. Nice place, very comfy padded seats. Parking in the parkade next to the arena seems to be free. One (of 3) concession stands is currently open. There are a couple of hot items on the menu besides the snacks, pizza and fries/poutine. They also have a few bakery items, mini donuts, croissants, and (fabulous) chocolate beignets. Oddly, no hot beverages of any kind for sale at this time (?)
ETA: found a 4th concession (closed at the moment) with coffee makers and a hot chocolate machine! Hopefully they open up at some point.
Not so far.Do they check your bags for food?
As a heads up, I heard that they will likely start charging on Friday for parking. At the arena. Nice place, very comfy padded seats. Parking in the parkade next to the arena seems to be free. According to the Gatineau city website: for Monday-Friday from 7-5pm, the first 3 hours are free, then it's $2 per 30 mins to a max of $17. After 5pm, it's free. Then on the weekend, it's $1 per hour to a max of $5. If that's accurate, then you'll only pay on Friday if you arrive before 2pm.As a heads up, I heard that they will likely start charging on Friday for parking.
Apparently there is also something broken within the parking system (?). The message on the ticket dispenser at the entrance said "disabled" and the exit arms were up, so I just drove in and parked. As a heads up, I heard that they will likely start charging on Friday for parking.

I was looking for hot water for tea during the Junior women yesterday, and an employee was kind enough to take me into the closed concession stand and get it for me. He said it would be open tomorrow and the rest of the event.Oddly, no hot beverages of any kind for sale at this time (?)

This is a regular occurrence in both the parking garage and the surface lot. I park in the lot for work and I have free parking about once a week.Apparently there is also something broken within the parking system (?).
